Exporting People

Exporting allows you to download people data into Microsoft Excel files that can contain all profile fields (or just the ones you specify), including custom profile fields. Note: Event information, and contribution data are not included in the export, or custom options.

  1. Pull up the list of people you'd like to export (by running an advanced search, searching by tag, or another method). 
  2. On the right, click "Export."
  3. Select "Excel" from the dropdown list and then click "Download."

Customizing an Export

Customizing an export allows users to specify which columns should be included on the export. To customize the export:

  1. Pull up the list of people you'd like to export (by running an advanced search, searching by tag, or another method).
  2. On the right, click "Export."
  3. Select "Excel" from the dropdown list.
  4. Click the pencil icon in the lower left corner of the window.
  5. Select the desired preset or select "Custom" to manually specify which fields should be included.
  6. Click "Download."

Note: When "Grouping by Family" it will pull in all family members of those who match the search results. Individuals who did not match the initial filters will be brought in.

Saving a Customization

Saving a customization allows users to quickly select a specific group of fields to export. To save a customization: 

  1. Pull up the list of people you'd like to export (by running an advanced search, searching by tag, or another method).
  2. On the right, click "Export."
  3. Select "Excel" from the dropdown list.
  4. Click the pencil icon in the lower left corner of the window.
  5. Select "Custom" from the dropdown list and check the fields you'd like included.
  6. Beneath the "Specify Fields" label click "Save as Preset" and provide a name for your preset.

Saved customizations are available only to the user who saved them and cannot be seen by other users from the same church.

Deleting a Customization

Deleting a customization removes that option from your list of available presets. To delete a customization:

  1. Select the "People" tab from the top right.
  2. Click "Export" on the right.
  3. Select "Excel" from the dropdown list.
  4. Click the pencil icon in the lower left corner of the window.
  5. Select the preset you'd like to delete from the dropdown list.
  6. Click the trash can icon just to the right of the dropdown list.1

1Default presets cannot be deleted.
