Customizing Your Online Giving Page

You can uniquely customize the appearance of your Breeze online giving page. Within the Web Giving Settings you can adjust color, Funds, Payment Methods, and more. To customize these settings:

  1. Navigate to "More" > "Contributions" > "Online Giving."1
  2. Click the "Settings" button in the "Web Giving Box" in the center-left of the page.
  3. Make your changes and click "Save."

1 This is assuming you've already Setup and Enabled Online Giving within Breeze.

General Appearance Notifications

These are the basic, general, settings you'll need to customize in order to get up and running with online giving!

Setting Description
Payment Types You can select if you'd like to accept only Credit Cards (debit cards included), only ACH (eCheck) bank transfers or both.2
Can donate To (Funds)  You can select which funds show up on the online giving page. A single fund can be selected or multiple funds can be selected. If you want to add a new fund to the list, create a new Fund first and it will then show up on the list to choose from. This will show all active funds.3
Default Fund If giving to multiple funds, set which fund shows up as initially selected (this option only appears if giving to multiple funds).
Processing Fees If enabled, donors can choose to cover processing fees, helping the church offset fees for the donation.4
Comments If enabled, donors can leave a comment (note) with their donation.

2 If you change your Payment Type to limit to only ACH gifts, and a member had previously given via Credit Card, and had this payment method saved in the "Give Now", then they will still be able to give from their Give Now page within their member profile with the saved card on file.

3 If you remove a fund(s) that donors are giving to through recurring gifts, the recurring gift(s) will continue to process with the original fund designation.

4 Only offered to US-based churches at this time.

You can share your newly customized giving page in many ways including embedding the giving page onto your website. See Sharing your giving page for more information on how to do this.

The Online Giving page which is completely customizable through the options above, will intentionally display (look) differently from the Give Now tab in Breeze, which cannot be customized. The "Give Now" tab includes only the fields necessary for a member submitting an online gift to your church

  • How can we create a specific online page for types of funds? I want to create an online giving page that gives the donors three levels to select from and one option to add their own amount. I will then add that to our website or share.

  • @njatcko

Great question! We're going to move your request over to our support lines to better help you.

  • There is an email field on the online donation page for matching people to the profile. I found some records with matching name and email to the profile but ends up in the unassociated records. Many people using separate emails for banking and communication. Can we add the phone number on the donation page so we could call the person?

  • Hey @fondachang!

At the moment, our Online Giving portal is limited to collecting the Email and the Physical address. You could always enable the commenting section (as explained in this article) to allow people to input their phone numbers for extra verification!

    Have a great day!

  • Hi. The pastor of our Spanish speaking congregation asked if the giving page can be made available in Spanish. I realize that I can make a webpage of my own in Spanish with a link to our Breeze online giving page, but he's asking if the online giving form itself can be made available in Spanish. Would that be an option? If so we'd still want to keep our existing one in English, so we would need two; not sure if that's a possibilty either. Thx. - Shelly @ Butler Church

  • @info

At the moment, Breeze is only available in English but we have many churches that use third-party translating extensions to help them and their members! This would be a great feature request to submit, and for more information on our Feature Request form, check out our feature request article here: Submitting Feature Requests.

  • Suggestion: I would like to be able to receive a notification of a donation and so would our bookkeeper. I really don't want to take the time every day to forward a message to the business office that could easily be sent directly via a simple fix. It would be very nice if you could set up notifications with two email addresses instead of one.

    God bless.

  • Hey @brad,

I'll pass along your great feedback to my team by submitting a feature request. I think that would be nice to have some flexibility as well.

  • How do we make sure that gifts that are given through the embedded window in our website get assigned to the right profile? Is there a way to allow (or require) donors to log into or create an account when giving?

  • @sgilbertson
Great question! You would want to be sure that the gifts that come in are associated with a profile. Associating profiles with a gift given through your Online Giving page is an easy process. Here is a helpful article that will guide you in this process:
If you would like to give your donors the option to create an account in Breeze, you certainly can do that! Here is an article that will assist with this task:
Keep in mind, your donors will be able to utilize the giving page even if they don't have access to Breeze.
  • Is there any information available on how to reassure customers that their credit card transaction can be safely used on our website when we use Breeze? Is there a statement that Breeze recommends or that others use on their pages? Thank you!

  • Hey @director!

It is so important to reassure customers that their transactions are safe! We have a entire page dedicated to our Security, here is a snippet from that page that you might find helpful:

    Online Giving Security

Credit card data is extremely sensitive and we work hard to ensure it is stored securely. In fact, we don't even store full card numbers on our servers nor do we have access to them. Instead that data is securely stored by our payment processor (Stripe) as they specialize in areas like this. Stripe is one of the industry leaders in online payment processing and you can read more on their security here.

I hope this helps :) Cheers!
