I am no longer taking a person by person check in attendance as we are too large to do so at this point.  We have relied on our Head Ushers to count people and put in an anonymous number.  Although, we have almost 200 adults in LifeGroups (our small groups) which most meet on Sundays.  Would this Beta test work for the small groups?  I am the one to put everyone in (for privacy purposes).  If this will work, I would love to be apart of the test!

I am very interested in how this Beta Test turns out.  We will be implementing the check in process very soon.  The sneak peak looks great.  It is all coming at just the right time for us.

Thank you for always working to improve Breeze!  I am happy to help by joining the Beta Tester Team!

    So excited about Family Check-in!

Consideration should be made for churches or groups that DO NOT record attendance on Sundays, but a later day because of work schedule.

I would love to participate in this trial, without time to meet with all that do check-ins, I would not like to pop this on them. If I could try it myself, and it not be account wide,I would do it.

I am the director Women's Ministry Connection and I would love to sample the check in at an event I am doing on Saturday, October 20th. Would that work?

I am the office manager and do the inputting of information. Sunday is my time of worship with my family. I would prefer if we had the opportunity to input the information on Monday. Then I would be more than happy to help out!! I have to go thru it all anyhow! Please let me know if this is possible.

    Hi Everyone!

Thank you so much for the feedback with our beta test on check in.  We are so excited for this new roll out and hope that you'll love it as much as we do.

For those of you who have been inquiring about using check in outside of Sunday morning or manually entering the check in yourself, we are excited to say: Yes!  We would love to have you join our beta.

We've altered our requirements above slightly from needing to use it Sunday morning for check in to the following:

    • You agree to Use the New Check-in Design between Tuesday, October 9th and Wednesday, October 18th for any or all check-in events.

That being said, as long as the check in is being used, either publicly or by manually entering check in information after an event, between those two dates, we would love for you to join our Beta.

@Elease2 - We will definitely let you know in the future if there is a possibility of doing a user-specific update.

@Margaret Hill - Unfortunately we need to get our feedback by the 17th on this one!  We will be sure to let you know about the next Beta and hopefully you'll be able to be a part of it :)

We can't join the beta for this Sunday because we are already changing other elements of our process and I don't want to add too many variables, but we may be able to help on a future week.

One bit of feedback: From the preview screens, it appears that the quick add feature still doesn't allow entry of cell phone numbers. That would be a huge help as the cell phone numbers are how parents are contacted during service.

I am not able to get to the beta testing area to test.  What I see has no "events" listed.

I just tried the Beta version of Check-In and I have some comments.

    • It was a lot prettier, which is always a bonus!
    • I found that it was much slower than my usual check-in. Every time I would type someone's name, it would load back to the original screen with all the names and then go on to load that person's individual name.
    • I found it easier before when you could also click on the name itself to check the person in and not just the checkmark. Not a super big deal, it's just always easier when you have a bigger space to click.

Other than that, I really liked it! My favorite part was the ability to switch between events on that specific day from the same screen, instead of having to go back out to the calendar and load in a different check-in.

    Thanks Breeze!

LOVES: that you can filter by "Tag", "Add" feature was much quicker-easy to use

LIKES:  the calendar feature within the event was nice BUT for someone a bit nervous to navigate to find things it wasn't "spelled out" I just TRIED different things and stumbled upon it.

GLITCHES? or SUGGESTIONS:  #1.  When I added people within the event they didn't show up until I refreshed the event.  I filtered by TAG, then added within the TAG.  Once I refreshed within the event, they would show up.  If they could show up within the TAG, that would be helpful & save a step.  #2.  When using the FILTER, it would be nice if it filtered, then cleared out on its own.  Eg.  I filtered by one TAG, checked people in, went to filter the next TAG and didn't realize I had to "remove" the previous one to move on. #3.  When we have a lot of people in a TAG, but not enough to "search" for a person, the letters up at the top work GREAT!  I would like to keep those!!!!  It is easier to bring up all the people with an "S" then type in every name.

    Hi Fehr and Chris,

Thanks so much for the feedback - it's so helpful! A few thoughts in response:

    1) So glad you like the new design.

    2) It's true that for churches who use the search in "list mode", they'll see slower results returned. This is because in the previous version, the searching happened on the users computer (client-side javascript) whereas now it's happening back on the server. This move was intentional to allow slower mobile devices to still operate the page by not having to chug through all of the javascript. We'll keep watching this but the hope is that the server-side search would be fast enough to make everyone happy.

    3) Thanks for the feedback on the ability to click a name to check someone in. We agree - this can be a nice feature and we added it back in (that change will likely go live tomorrow - Monday, Oct 29, 2018)

    4) Glad you enjoy event switching :)

    1) So glad you enjoy the filter!

    2) You're right - the list should absolutely reload when adding a new person so they can be visible without the user needing to reload the page. Thanks for catching this. This has been updated and that change will likely go live tomorrow - Monday, Oct 29, 2018.

    3) Interesting feedback on the tag filter - in your context, where it sounds like you're using it to help find someone, that absolutely makes sense. In other contexts, someone might set up an event and have different computers at different locations filtering by different tags so they would want the persistence. We'll aim to keep things like this in mind as we look forward.

    4) Thanks for the feedback on the alphabet bar. We're keeping a close ear out on this one as removing it was one of the very few functional changes this update made. We like the simpler design and more efficient code but want to ensure churches have the functionality they need too so appreciate the feedback here.

Thanks again to both of you for helping us serve churches even better!

Does the new version correct the issues with the wireless Brother Printer?

The Brother Wireless Printer is supported through the third-party Air Print Check In iOS app. The developer of the app has been made aware of the new check-in design and works diligently to update the app where necessary. If you are still experiencing functionality concerns when using the Brother Printer, reaching out to the app developer directly would be the best course of action.

I just noticed that even though it is displaying nicknames, it is alphabetizing by first name, so in my list, "Shepard, Donna" comes before "Shepard, Bill" (because his first name is William). Breeze otherwise does such a great job of handling nicknames, I hope this can be fixed too. Thanks!

I noticed that I can search by phone number in Search or Kiosk modes, but am getting no search results when searching with a phone number from List Mode. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
    Thanks, -Evan

    Thanks for testing!

Yep... replicated and reported the search by phone not working as expected when in List Mode, watch for updates.

What you're seeing with the last name, first name (not nickname) alphabetical order is consistent throughout Breeze. I've posted this for further discussion in development to understand all the angles/thoughts behind the ordering - if an update is made, we'll be sure to post.

Happy to report that list mode has been updated, listing eligible attendees alphabetically by last name, nickname.

List mode has been adjusted so that only filtering by name is prompted as filtering by phone and barcode is not supported in list mode.
