New Breeze Dashboard

 

Overview: The new Dashboard page in Breeze allows you to quickly and easily get a snapshot of important things happening in your Breeze account, and ultimately your church.

Customizing the Dashboard Widgets

The New Breeze Dashboard allows for each logged in user of your Breeze account to have a customized experience -- surfacing the information that is most important to you! 

  1. Starting on the Dashboard, Click the Blue "Customize Dashboard" at the top right. 
  2. Toggle on the widgets that you'd like to see when you visit the Dashboard. 
  3. Click "Save at the bottom right of the popup (you may have to scroll down in order to see the save option). 
  4. Return to "Customize Dashboard" to make future changes to what is displayed.

Changing the Location of Widgets

  1. Go to the Breeze Dashbaord
  2. Find the widget you'd like to move
  3. Click, hold, and drag a widget from one location to the other.

Available Widgets for the Dashboard


People Widgets

People Added in the Last 7 Days

  • Show the total number of people who have been added to Breeze in the last seven days. 
  • Click the "View Full Report" to see a list of all the people added in the last 7 days.
  • In order to see this widget, you will need permission to View > People (will only show individuals to which you have access to view)

Recently Viewed People

  • Shows a list of people's profiles you have recently viewed. 
  • Click on a name to quickly access their profile. 
  • In order to see this widget, you will need permission to History.

Tags Widgets

Recently Viewed Tags

  • Shows a list of the tags you have recently viewed.
  • Click on a tag and quickly access the tag. 
  • Click "View More" to be taken to the History to see more recently viewed tags. 
  • In order to see this widget, you will need permission to History.

Events Widgets

Recent Attendance

  • Shows a list of attendance totals, with their corresponding events, over the past seven days.
  • Click on an event to be taken to the Overview page of that event. 
  • Click "View More" at the bottom of this widget to be taken to the Events Calendar. 
  • In order to see this widget, you will need permission to Events > Check In Reports. This widget will only show events for calendars that are turned on in Events, and that have attendance logged on them.

Recently Viewed Events

  • Shows a list of events you have recently viewed. 
  • Click on a specific event listed to navigate to the overview page of that event. 
  • Clicking "View More" at the bottom of this widget will take you to the History of events you have recently viewed.
  • In order to see this widget, you will need permission to History.

Upcoming Events

  • Shows a list of upcoming events
  • Click on a specific event listed to navigate to the overview page of that event. 
  • Clicking "View More" at the bottom of this widget will take you the Events Calendar. 
  • In order to see this widget, you will need permission to Events > View Events. This widget will only show events for calendars that you have turned on in Events.

Contributions Widgets

Contributions Received in the Last 7 Days

  • Shows the total amount of contributions received in the last seven days. 
  • Click "View Full Report" to be taken to the Contribution Report for this data range. 
  • In order to see this widget, you will need permission to Contributions > Reports > View Reports.

Contributions Received in the Last 30 Days

  • Shows the total amount of contributions received in the last thirty days compared to previous years.
  • Click on a date or amount to be taken to the Contribution Report for this data. 
  • In order to see this widget, you will need permission to Contributions > Reports > View Reports.

Follow Up Widgets

Follow Ups Assigned to Me

  • Shows the total number of pending follow ups that have been assigned to you.
  • Click the "View Details" to be taken to the list of follow ups assigned to you. 
  • In order to see this widget, you will need the permission to Follow Ups > View Assigned to Me.

Pending Follow Ups Assigned by Me

  • Shows a list of all pending follow ups that you have assigned, with their due dates. 
  • Click View Details to see Follow Ups that you have assigned to others. 
  • In order to see this widget, you will need permission to Follow Ups > View Assigned by Me

Total Pending Follow Ups

  • Shows a list of all pending follow ups in Breeze, with their due dates.
  • You can scroll through the list of pending follow ups.  
  • Click View Details to see more information on all of the Pending Follow Ups for the account. 
  • In order to see this widget, you will need permission to Follow Ups > View Assigned to Others

My Profile Widgets

My Profile

  • Provides quick access to your Breeze profile by clicking the profile photo or on your name. 
  • Displays your profile photo, name, phone number, email, and address. 
  •  In order to see this widget, you will need permission to My Profile > View my details and you must have a profile connected to your User

Online Giving

  • Provides an easy way to give to your church online and manage your recurring giving. 
  • In order to see this widget, you will need permission to My Profile > Display "Online Giving" Button, and you must have a profile connected to your User

  • Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I have tried that as well as tried multiple different browsers on a few different computers. It appears the links are broken due to the images no longer being in that directory. Perhaps they're showing up on your end due to them still being in your cache? For example, if I right click the frame for the missing image and copy the image location, when I paste it into a new browser window, I get the attached message. But if i right click one of the working images and paste its location into a new browser window, it displays that image in the window. I recommend checking to make sure that the images are in the correct folders on your web server, and/or relinking them. (Not being able to view the images isn't a big deal for me, as I'm familiar with the dashboard at this point, just trying to help for your other users who might be referencing this page.) Hope that info helps with the troubleshooting!

    Ashley here with the Success Team! Sorry you are not seeing photos...is your web browser updated? If you are not seeing the option to access the "Profile" widgets you will need to add the role permission of My Profile > View my details. And then you must connect a profile to your User

As the widgets are set based on the user's permissions, I can see where it would be helpful to be able to have preset widgets for certain permission levels in Breeze.   • We are testing members access to Breeze and may have discovered an issue with the event widget in the dashboard.

    If a user clicks on an event from the widget, a windows is displayed with the date, time and name of the event, but it also said that the user did not have permission to view the event report.  If this same user clicks on Events and clicks on the same exact event in the calendar, all of the event detail is displayed.  The role being used does have the "View Events" authorization enabled.

     

    Any ideas?

  • Hey @communications! I totally hear you and understand that you've been having to do a ton of extra leg work walking members through this customizing process on the dashboard. I'm going to submit feedback to our team to make the member experience easier to see only what they need to see. :)

  • I'd like to add my voice to those admins who would like to be able to customize the default widgets visible to certain roles (namely our basic user). I'd also LOVE to see widgets listing people who have birthdays in the next week or month (many of our members would appreciate that), and a widget or spot for a custom message from our church's breeze admins, for a simple personal note of welcome, or to highlight a recent change.

  • The People Added in the Last 7 Days widget seems confusing to members who only have access to our online directory.  Is it possible to control what widgets members see in that directory and what the default items would be for those members?

  • I have the same problem as Larry Holman above. I had a volunteer who clicked on an event showing in their 'Upcoming Events' section of their dashboard and it would not let them see the details for the event or do check-in, but they can navigate to the event from the 'Events' menu and see all information and check-in.  They also have access to view all events in their user permissions.  I was trying to find the easiest way to help them get to check-in when they sign in and so I was instructing them to click on the event from the main dashboard. This would take them to the event and shows the check-in button (mine does since I have admin permission.), but as I am understanding, this may be the wrong way? For now I will instruct them to go through the 'Events' menu instead, but it would be easier if they could click on the event from the 'Upcoming Events' in the dashboard.  Thanks so much for the help!

    It sounds like this volunteer will need "Check In Reports" selected in the permissions of their role.

  • Is there a way to provide a default Dashboard view. It would be helpful for some of our users for me to give them basic info they might be looking for such as giving. It would eliminate things we don't find as important. For instance, I have some members who asking why do they need to know who was last added. And so I am spending time taking them through personalizing their dashboard.

    I'm sorry to hear that you are having some trouble accessing the "Customize Dashboard" button on your church office computer. I know that must be a little frustrating! I would love to help with this!

    It's possible that this may be an issue with cache and cookies! Because Breeze is web-based and operates on a browser, sometimes pages may not load as expected. Due to this, would you be so kind as to try and clear cache and cookies on your church computer to see if this fixes this issue? :) Note: This will likely sign you out of Breeze, so you will want to make sure that you are familiar with your username and password! Here are instructions for how to clear cache and cookies on your web browser:

    Thank you for reaching out and sharing your screenshot!  That's frustrating that you aren't seeing the images.  Currently, I'm able to see all of the images in my browser. 

    I know Ashley mentioned making sure the browser is updated.  Another thing to try would be to clear your cache and cookies and see if that clears it up.

  • Hello! I'm excited about the new widgets. Could you tell me how to access the Profile widgets? I don't see them under "Customize Dashboard." Maybe it's explained in images, but most of the images aren't displaying on the page - I'm just seeing the image names. Thank you!
