    Good Morning, Breeze Beta Testers!

The Beta version of the New Check-in Design has been activated on your account.

Please post all questions here in this community forum. That will allow for two things #1 keeping support lines open and available for standard service. #2 Q&A tracking for the community as a whole.

So exciting!  I just tested it and I love it already!  It seems so much simpler to use!  Yay Breeze!

I have been trying to play with the new system which appears simple and easy to use but nothing is working. When I type a name in nothing happens. When I try to click the mode button to change from search to list nothing happens. When I click headcount nothing happens. Basically, I can click on everything but nothing is happening. We would like to try the system tomorrow night but right now I can't get anything to work at all.

Just a quick practice test here... but seems in Search Mode we do not have the ability from the check in page to see who we have just checked in as it showed a check mark by the name.  Seems that ability to see who we have already checked in is now missing.  Be nice to see a list of who has been checked in by simply clicking some sort of link on that screen.

I see in List Mode the check boxes by each name appear and can use this as the answer.  So only option is to revert back to List Mode to see who has been checked in?

Are you using Chrome as your browser?  If not try it using Chrome and see if that helps.  Just guessing here.

Tried Chrome still nothing. I use chrome on my check-in computers, was using Firefox on my personal but I have tried it on both and still have the same issue.

    Hi Vince,

Would you be available to jump into a call with me at 1:30 ET this afternoon (1-hour from now)? Would love to do a screenshare and see what's happening on your end.

Here is a link to my meeting room:  https://zoom.us/j/7627401826

Mark - making a note to explore "Checked in" listing options when in search mode. You are correct in that right now, it is not available unless switching back to list mode.

Thanks for jumping in so quickly - these are the questions we need and hope for!

We are signed up to do BETA testing but I don't see the "try the new system" button at all?

    Hey Robyn.

Try any of your 10/14 Sunday events - you will see the "try the new check-in system" option there.

Looks like something is happening with the naming of other events preventing the BETA option from being available. Reported and being looked at! Thanks so much for flagging this.

    Team,

    First two bugs found!

    1. If you have an apostrophe in the name of your event, the new design isn't functioning. Kudos to Vince for getting us to that bug!

    2. If you have a description in your event settings, it blocks you from trying the new design BETA. Cheers to Robyn for the discovery there!

Your testing is SO valuable! Thank you.

One thing I noticed is after you check someone in and click the space to do another you have to manually erase the old name and retype the new name. On the old system clicking in that space automatically erased the name for you so you could begin typing right away.

Hi, I am interested in check-in for kids.

Is it possible to see the parent or guardian associated with the child at the time of check-in as well as all the kids under the same family?

I didn't test it with a printer, but does the label come out with allergy and parent information?

Can you add an option to combine families at the time of adding in anew family so we don't need to repeat the same info when adding a new family at check-in. Help with expediting the process?

I was using the new checkin system yesterday with no apparent issues.  Today, every time I click the Beta link, it just opens a new window and redirects me to the calendar main page. It seems to be happening for any event I try.

Hi! I was looking at orienting myself with the beta check in system today as a test for Sunday, or potentially tonight. And I know I was able to bring it up yesterday, but didn't really have the time to work with it. However, when I went to open it this morning, and tried in two different browsers, when I click to try the new beta test, it just opens up another tab with the calendar.

Also on the same page as Nikkie about adding a member to an existing family. Part of it is that we're still getting people into the system, but it would be so much easier if we could add to a family in a check-in account (like if one of the kids is sick the previous week, but we entered all the other ones). Just a thought

Here are a few observations I've made just in testing things out.  I'll be doing more tests tonight as well as on Sunday.

    1. If you check in a person and then mark that person again as not checked in (so you should have 0 people checked in) the numeric indicator in the tab title as well as next to the event name still shows 1 checked in.

    2.  In list mode, the search seems to be less responsive than the old design.  The old design would filter right in front of you.  This one seems to go back to the server to do the lookup and it's a lot slower.

    3.  On a tablet, if you go to add a new person, you can swipe inside the popup window to the left and it seems to go infinitely.  Seems like it should be a fixed width until you try and add an additional family member.

    4.  If you try to add multiple family members at one time, in the old interface, the Last Name field was propagated across all users.  The new interface doesn't copy the last name to the other people.

I was just getting on to check out the beta check in myself and am having the same problem several others have mentioned.  When I click on the red "try the new beta check in system" it just takes me to a new tab with the events calendar.  I was hoping to test it out tonight with a small number of kids before using it this coming weekend.

@tyler and @amy and anyone else having issues accessing the beta Checking Page.  I had the same issue when I tried to go to a new event today and check people in and I found a workaround.  If you go to an event and click the Normal Check In button, once the new page loads go to the URL bar and replace the "/index/" with "/v3/".  That should get you to the beta interface.

    Hope it helps out.

    Hey, Tyler.

THANK YOU for bringing this to our attention. Seems that a fix deployed earlier broke the linking...

We are on it and the fix should be live in approx 20 minutes. Test it out again in a bit and you should be good to go.

    @Nikkie

    1. Is it possible to see the parent or guardian associated with the child at the time of check-in as well as all the kids under the same family?

As with the original check-in design, parent information is not available for view within the check-in screens. A possible workaround would be customizing the nametag to include the parent name and/or phone number.

    2. I didn't test it with a printer, but does the label come out with allergy and parent information?

Printing additional profile information can be accomplished through customizing your check-in nametag. Documentation | Customize your check-in name tags

    3. Can you add an option to combine families at the time of adding in anew family so we don't need to repeat the same info when adding a new family at check-in. Help with expediting the process?

While this update doesn't add additional functionality, I have noted the request for future planning.

Thanks to you for being in the BETA testing and providing valuable feedback - we appreciate you.

    @adelay

Great stuff - thanks for your detailed testing. All of your reports have been verified and reported. I'll circle back next week with all the "fixes" put in place.

    One additional clarification...

    1. If you check in a person and then mark that person as not checked in (so you should have 0 people checked in) the numeric indicator in the tab title as well as next to the event name still shows 1 checked in.

Will you test a refresh of your browser to see if that updates count on the main event page? Seems to do the trick on my side. In the new design, the check-in count is no longer on the check-in screen banner. If you are testing check-in from both designs simultaneously, it will take a refresh on each of your tabs to get the numbers to refresh. Let me know if you are experiencing something different.

    Julie,

If I refresh the Check-in page, it does reset the counter in the header to 0.

“In the new design, the check-in coun is no longer on the check-in screen banner".  I still see the count on the header of the page, it's just shifted to the left next to the date selector.

I'm not testing both designs at the same time.  I'm only looking at the beta design and it doesn't reset the value from 1 to 0.  It will reset from 2 to 1, but not from 1 to 0.

Got it! Thanks for the clarifications, duplicated and reported. As a side note, this exposed another design update needed... if the event name is too long, the counter on the top left is not visible.

    Great!

Something else I noticed just now.  If you have family check-in enabled and you check in a person which is a part of a family and you get the dialog window that opens up asking if you want to check in any other family members, when you close that dialog, the main list reloads and scrolls you to the very top of the list.  Very inconvenient if you have a long list.
