Parish Data Systems - Export Instructions

Exporting Data from Parish Data Systems

Exporting People

  1. Within Parish Data Systems, start at the Reports menu.
  2. Select Member Reports.
  3. This brings up the “Select Report” screen.
    1. Select Add (this is not in reports listing but rather the footer of the dialog box).
    2. Select Export to create a custom export.
  4. Select fields to include in export file; be sure to include:
    1. Fam Unique ID
    2. Mem Unique ID
    3. Env Number
  5. Save/OK
  6. This brings you to the “Overview” screen.
  7. Click Edit to the right of report name and change to “BreezePeople” or similar.
  8. Export Filename: click on the file name to change the name and location for the export.
  9. File Format: Choose Comma Separated Values (CSV)
  10. Click Next.
  11. From the Selection Information tab, check:
    1. Include Active
    2. Inactive
    3. Deceased members
  12. Click Build.

Exporting Giving

  1. Within Parish Data Systems, start at the Reports menu
  2. Select Contribution Reports.
  3. This brings up the “Select Report” screen.
    1. Select Add (this is not in reports listing but rather the footer of the dialog box).
    2. Select Export to create a custom export.
  4. Select the fields to include; be sure to include:
    • From the Member section:
      1. Fam Unique ID
      2. Mem Unique ID
      3. Env Number
    • From the Calc Fund section (this fund section allows for date range selection):
      1. Calc Fund Hist Activity Name
      2. Calc Fund Hist Amount
      3. Calc Fund Hist Batch
      4. Calc Fund Hist Check Number
      5. Calc Fund Hist Date
  5. Save/OK.
  6. This brings you to the “Overview” screen
  7. Click Edit to the right of report name and change to “Contributions”.
  8. Export Filename: click on the file name to change the name and location for the export.
  9. File Format: Choose Comma Separated Values (CSV).
  10. Click Next.
  11. Click Next.
  12. From the Selection Information tab, check:
    1. Include Active
    2. Inactive
    3. Deceased members
    4. Set desired date range
  13. Click Build.

Importing Data into Breeze

  1. Sign in to your Breeze Account.
  2. Click the More tab in the top right.
  3. Click Tasks from the dropdown.
  4. Click the category on the left that you'd like to import (e.g. People, Giving, Tags, etc).
  5. Download and open the template file.
  6. Remove the sample data and populate the template file by copy/pasting applicable columns from your Parish Data Systems exported file(s). Be sure to keep the first row of the template file intact.
  7. Save file as a .CSV file type.
  8. When finished, use the same screen to upload your file to complete the import.
