How to Navigate the New View People Dashboard

Summary: Learn what to expect when transitioning to the unified View People dashboard. This single, optimized interface replaces both the legacy people UI and the old people beta experience, offering streamlined navigation and a modern email editor.

Before You Begin

  • No More Beta Banner: The old "People Beta" banner has been permanently removed. You can no longer toggle back to or opt into the legacy layout—this is now the permanent interface for searching and managing profiles.

  • Unified Interface for Existing Users: Whether your team was primarily utilizing the legacy view or the React-powered beta view, this interface brings all accounts together on the same layout.

  • Email Validation Update (Effective September 22): The email field on profiles now supports only one validated email address. See the Troubleshooting & FAQ section below for how historical multiple emails were handled.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Click on People in the main navigation menu to open the unified dashboard.

  2. Filter your list by clicking Filters to open the panel on the right side of the screen. Select your criteria to watch the list update in real time without navigating to a separate page.

  3. Check the boxes next to individuals in your list to perform bulk tasks.

  4. Select your desired action from the option bubbles that appear at the top of the screen (or select the dropdown arrow to view more actions).

  5. Click Email to access the updated, modern email editor.

  6. Select either Basic Email for a fast message, or Design Email to drag and drop newsletter-style content.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

  • Where is the "Exit Beta" button? The legacy view has been retired to upgrade all accounts to a faster engine. You can no longer toggle back to the old legacy layout, but all filter and profile functions match the workflow you are already used to.

  • What happened to profiles that had multiple or invalid email addresses? On September 22, the system was updated to ensure emails reliably reach the right address by limiting the email field to a single, validated format. If a profile previously contained multiple emails or an invalid format, the primary valid address was retained in the email field. The original multi-email or invalid entry was saved as a Note on the person's profile, so nothing was lost.

  • Can I edit the Note containing the old email data? Not at this time. The system-generated notes containing the migrated email data are currently not editable by anyone. This capability will remain locked until a future update when editing will be enabled.

  • Why can't I email or text someone from the Archives list? Communication tools are disabled for archived profiles. If you need to text or email someone in the Archives list, you must check the box next to their name, click Unarchive to restore them to the main people list, and message them from there.

  • How does the new email option work in this view? Unlike the old legacy view editor, clicking Email in View People gives you access to a modern editor. You can choose a Basic email for quick text or a Design email to drag and drop graphics, layouts, and newsletter content seamlessly.
