This guide explains the steps to change the Account Owner in a Breeze connected account, essential for administrators aiming for a seamless transition in account management. It details the steps to getting the Account Owner Swapped now that the Admins are hosted under Tithely.
- Log In to Breeze as the current Account Owner.
- Select the Settings icon (
) at the top right corner.
- Select Users & Roles.
- Make the User you want as your new Account Owner an Admin by clicking Add User or editing an already existing User's permissions by clicking the edit pencil next to their Role.
- Once the User gets added in Breeze as an Admin, they need to Connect Their User Account to Tithely before the Account Owner Swap can take place. Note: Without the accounts connected the Admin will get the error "Account Owner change only possible with connected account".
- To Connect the Breeze to Tithely: Have the new Admin User Log In to Breeze then navigate to Settings > Manage Account > Bills and Payments > Tithely Billing.
- This will send a code to their email and then open the New User into the Tithely Account as an Admin and the account will be officially connected!
- Finally have the current Account Owner Log In to Breeze navigate to Settings > Manage Account > Bills and Payments > Tithely Billing.
- Next, select the Global Settings (
) icon at the top right hand corner.
- Select My Organization.
- Select Admin Users.
- Select the Gear Icon next to the user you would like to make the new Account Owner.
- Select the option to Edit Permissions.
- Change the User Role to Account Owner.
- A pop-up explaining the account change will appear. Review and click Continue to move forward.
- Add a new billing method that will be charged moving forward.
Note: This is necessary even if the new account has no active, paid subscriptions.- At this stage, you can also update the Legal Representative if needed or skip this step if unnecessary. For multi-location churches, it will only update the Legal Representative for the oldest location you created in Tithely.
- Confirm the Account Owner changes.
- The new Account Owner will receive an email confirming the change, and the old Account Owner will also receive an email stating they are no longer the Account Owner.
