Keep your church safe with MinistrySafe by running Background Checks and assigning Child Safety Training to your volunteers.
Breeze Tip:
Only Account Owners are able to run and view the results of the Background Checks. A subscription must be present on the account to run Background Checks.

Activate Background Checks (First-Time Only)
- Log in as the Account Owner.
- Select People.

Select a person you would like to run a Background Check on or assign Child Safety Training.
Note: You can also select a random user above 13 years old to complete activation. - Click Activate Background Checks.
- If Account Owner clicks the Activate Background Checks button and their Billing is not migrated to Tithely, they will receive the information needed to migrate their billing.

Agree to the MinistrySafe Member Service Agreement and click Activate New MinistrySafe Account.
- Once the Account Owner agrees to the service agreement, while the account is being spun up the account owner will see these pop ups...

- Verification can take up to two days.
Once activated, you’ll see options for Background Checks and Child Safety Trainings.
Running Background Checks and Assigning Child Safety Trainings
- Select People.
- Locate the user you want to Order Background Check on or Assign Child Safety Training to.
Note: The profile must have an email to send a Background Check or Training. -
Select the user to enter their profile.
Breeze Tip:
Background Checks cannot be run on individuals under 13 years of age. The age field and email must be filled out in a user's profile before you are able to run or assign Child Safety Trainings.
- Select:

Run Background Check
- Select the Level of Background Check you would like to request for this user based on the church's needs.
- Enter additional user details for the Background Check.

Confirm and send.

The user will receive an email directly from MinistrySafe to complete their Background Check.
- Select the Level of Background Check you would like to request for this user based on the church's needs.

Child Safety Training
- Select Training from the user's profile.
Note: The profile must have an email to send a Background Check or Child Safety Training. -
Choose the Child Safety Training you would like to assign to the user.
- Choose a Version.

Confirm and Send.
- The user will receive an email from MinistrySafe to set up their Child Safety Training.
- Select Training from the user's profile.

Run Background Check
5. Once the Account Owner has ordered a Background Check or Child Safety Training they will show in the People profile. Note: If more than one Child Safety Training or Background Check has been ordered, they will always show the date from the most recent order.
- A View MinistrySafe profile link will be available to the Account Owner that will direct them into MinistrySafe. MinistrySafe will open in a new tab defaulted to the dashboard.
(Any steps beyond ordering Background Checks and Child Safety Trainings will also take place in MinistrySafe. These can include things like viewing the status of a Background Check, reviewing Background Check results, actioning a Background Check, and reviewing scores on Child Safety Trainings.)
