Occasionally, users may find that they are unable to view their profile or the "Give Now" button within Breeze, even if the role permissions are correctly set. This guide will help you troubleshoot and resolve these visibility issues.
If a user is unable to see the "Give Now" button even though the role permissions are set correctly in the Users and Roles area, one possibility is that the User Account is not linked to a profile. This happens when a user is added manually and "My Profile" section is not connected to the User. Users that are invited to create accounts in Breeze, automatically have their profile connected to their user accounts.
Note: If you are a member and cannot see the Give Now button, please contact your church/organization administration.
How to Link a User Account to a Profile
Important Note: It's crucial to ensure that you are linking the user account to the correct individual's profile.
- Navigate to Account Settings () at the top right and select Users and Roles.
- Locate the user account in question and click the pencil icon to edit.
- In the "My Profile" field, type the name of the person whose profile needs to be connected to this user account. Make sure to select the correct profile from the list that appears.
- Click Update User to save the changes.
Role Permissions Misconfiguration
If the issue isn't related to profile linkage, review the role permissions to ensure that the user has the necessary access to see the "Give Now" button.
How to Check and Adjust Role Permissions
- Navigate to Account Settings () at the top right and select Users and Roles.
- Select the role associated with the affected user.
- Review the permissions list to confirm the My Profile, and Display "Online Giving" Button option is checked.
- Adjust as necessary and save any changes.
